What content is covered in MOCA 2.0®?

According to the MOCA 2.0® Content Outline, the exam covers the following topics:

  • Fundamental Topics in Anesthesiology
  • Pharmacology
  • Clinical Sciences: Anesthesia Procedures, Methods, and Techniques
  • Organ-Based Basic and Clinical Sciences
  • Clinical Subspecialties
  • Special Problems or Issues in Anesthesiology
  • Quality Improvement
  • Overview of Anesthesiology Topics
  • Critical Care Medicine
  • Pain Medicine

How long is the MOCA Minute®?

The MOCA Minute® is made up of multiple-choice questions similar to those typically found on MOCA exams. Diplomates are required to answer 30 questions per calendar quarter and no more than 30 questions per day. This is a total of 120 questions per year and 1200 total questions by year 10 of your "Participating in MOC" status.
