Any aspiring Radiologist knows that the key to passing the Radiology Certifying Exam is to study. The American Board of Radiology Certifying Exam is an image-rich and computer administered exam that focuses on the synthesis of information, differential diagnosis, and patient management. Candidates must pass the Qualifying (Core) Exam before sitting for the Certifying Exam.

The Radiology Certifying Exam is seven and a half hours long and consists of four modules: Essentials of Diagnostic Radiology, and Clinical Practice Modules selected by the testtaker based on his or her practice emphasis.

Clinical Practice Modules
The other three modules found on the Certifying Exam are in clinical practice areas selected by the individual, based on training, experience, and practice emphasis. In each exam, up to three different practice areas may be chosen.
